A private property-management application for our staff.
Nguyen Family Investments is the web application that the staff of Nguyen Family Investments — a family-owned real estate holding company in Southern California, doing business as Lotus Property Management — use to run the residential and commercial rental properties the company owns. Signed-in staff record leases and tenants, track rent and expenses in a double-entry ledger, open and close maintenance work orders, file unit inspections with photographs, and follow construction projects from budget through completion.
The application runs at https://thenguyens.info/Dashboard. This page explains what it does, who is allowed to use it, why it asks for a Google account, and what happens to the information it receives.
The application is for internal business use by employees and family members of Nguyen Family Investments. It is not a consumer product and it is not open to public sign-up. An administrator creates each account for a named person in advance; the application never creates an account on its own, and anyone signing in without an account already on file is refused. There is no free trial, no self-registration, and no public data.
Authorized users may choose Sign in with Google rather than maintaining a separate password for the application. When they do, the application requests only the sign-in scopes — openid, email, and profile — and uses the result once: it reads the name and email address on the Google account, matches them to the account an administrator already created, and starts the session. We never see or handle a Google password, and no long-lived access to the Google account is requested or stored.
A separate and entirely optional feature in the household finance section may request read-only access to Gmail (gmail.readonly). Its single purpose is to locate receipt, order, and statement emails and turn them into transaction records in that person's own private ledger. It is opt-in, it is used for nothing else, and it can be disconnected at any time from the Google account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Information received from Google APIs is used only to provide the features described above. It is never sold, never shared with third parties for their own purposes, never used for advertising, and never used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. It is stored on our own server, is accessible only to the account holder and authorized administrators, and is deleted on request.
The Nguyen Family Investments application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
